Fallout 76 to get much-needed stash limit increase soon

Junk.

If you're playing Fallout 76 right now, you've probably run up against the game's stash limit.

Stash boxes are limited to 400 units, which isn't much at all, particularly if you fancy getting stuck into the camp-building aspect of the game and want to store junk used to make items.

Fallout 76 players have complained about the game's stash limit ever since beta, and now Bethesda has signalled it'll be increased soon.

"We hear you loud and clear," the company said in a post. "We will be increasing the stash limit in the coming weeks. The current limit is there for technical reasons, to cap the number of items the game is tracking in the world, including every container and stash. We believe we have some ideas in both the short- and long-term that will address the size without risking stability, but this is one we need to take our time on to make sure it is done right."

Other features coming in the next few weeks include push to talk for PC (also much-needed), ultrawide support for PC and a Field of View (FOV) slider for PC.

In the shorter term, Fallout 76's first major patch arrives on Monday, 19th November, and it brings with it fixes for quests, the user interface, camps and more. It focuses on game performance and stability on all platforms, Bethesda said.

"This update will be large compared to what we expect for patches going forward. Regular updates will always vary in size, but future updates should be much smaller in comparison."

Quest fixes are also much-needed. I've run up against two quest-crippling bugs so far, and players have reported many more.

"Our plan is to update the game on a regular basis with patch notes that detail what we are addressing with each update," Bethesda said.

Looking into 2019, Bethesda said it'll open Vaults, add new ways to easily improve camps, create and team-up, and add faction-based PvP, as well as release free add-ons.
