Everyday Shooter on US PSN

Going live today.

This week's European PlayStation Store line-up remains typically elusive, but US gamers (or users of the US Store) can look forward to the release of Everyday Shooter.

Created by a chap called Jonathan Mak, Everyday Shooter is described as "an album of games exploring the expressive power of abstract shooters".

The musical connection is more than a metaphor too - in a superficially similar way to games like Rez or Lumines, Everyday Shooter incorporates sound effects prompted by player movement into the game's jangly guitar soundtrack.

It's already won awards - and in fact it was its dominance at the Independent Games Festival in March that led to Sony taking an interest. You can read how the whole thing came about over on Sony's official US blog, where senior producer Rusty Buchert charts its path to PSN.

Or you can fire yourself over to Eurogamer TV where we're hosting a brief trailer featuring gameplay footage.

Look out for a review of Everyday Shooter at some point in the future. We'll let you know what's happening on the European store front as soon as Sony brushes its hair and puts on its face.
