EA publishes, pulls Battlefield 3 Premium trailer

UPDATE: DICE confirms five hour Battlelog downtime today.

UPDATE: Battlefield developer DICE has confirmed Battlelog will be down for maintenance today for five hours as it prepares for the launch of Battlefield 3 Premium and the Close Quarters expansion.

The downtime is as follows:

  • 7- 12 PDT.
  • 10-15 EST.
  • 15-20 GMT.
  • 16-21 CET.

ORIGINAL STORY: Over the weekend EA published - then pulled - the official Battlefield 3 Premium trailer ahead of its E3 press conference.

The trailer confirmed the existence of the offering and last week's leaked specification sheet.

Pay for Battlefield 3 Premium and you get access to all five expansion packs: Back to Karkand, Close Quarters, Armored Kill, two weeks early access to Aftermath, and two weeks early access to End Game. Aftermath is described as a "fight for survival". End Game is described as "lethal high-speed action".

You also get 20 new weapons, over 10 new vehicles, exclusive dog tags, camo for kits and weapons, more modes, new assignments, new game modes and more.

The contents of Battlefield 3 Premium are in the image, below. It's set to go live today alongside the Close Quarters expansion. Expect more from EA's press conference this evening.
