Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze delayed to 2014

Retro's platfomer put on ice for two months.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Retro Studio's latest take on Nintendo's iconic platform series, has been delayed, with a final release set for February 2014.

Originally slated for a December release, the delay of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze slims out the Wii U's exclusive offerings for Christmas this year. Platform exclusive Sonic Lost Worlds has now been confirmed for release on October 14, while Super Mario 3D World has been confirmed for release on 29 November.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze will join Mario Kart 8 in Nintendo's line-up early in 2014, and it's a return to more traditional platforming from Retro Studios - a move that's worked for better and for worse, as Chris Donlan discovered earlier this year.
