Deus Ex: Human Revolution ships 2m units

Square Enix notes 89 per cent Metascore.

Action role-playing game Deus Ex: Human Revolution has shipped over two million copies since launch, Square Enix has announced.

That's shipped, not sold.

The impressive feat was achieved in just over two weeks. Deus Ex entered the UK all formats top 40 at number one, and stayed there a week later. It was the best-selling game in the US in August, shifting 244,000 copies.

The game launches in Japan in October. That month also sees the launch of the game's first downloadable content, called The Missing Link.

Eurogamer's Deus Ex review augmented a 9/10. "Deus Ex: Human Revolution is one of those rare games that knows you can't be perfect all the time, and that you have the right to change your mind about your actions later," wrote Tom Bramwell." It just wants to be played with and enjoyed - and when you finish, you just want to play with it again."

Deus Ex is currently sitting on a Metascore of 89 per cent. "We're pleased to see that people are enjoying the game so much," Square Enix said.
