Dead Rising 2, Lost Planet 2 sales

Plus, Super Street Fighter IV does well.

Capcom has revealed sales figures of its major games during the nine months to 31st December 2010.

Zombie tear-em-up Dead Rising 2 has sold 2.2 millions to date. Super Street Fighter IV has sold 1.6 million, and Lost Planet 2 has shifted 1.5.

In its financial report Capcom noted that the "steady sales" of Lost Planet 2 were below projections.

All games sales, however, were dwarfed by those of PSP game Monster Hunter Freedom 3 (Monster Hunter Portable 3rd on these shores), which has shifted a whopping 4.1 million units in Japan alone. Guess that means it's been a success, then.

It contributed to profits up 294 per cent to 6.83 billion yen (£51.7m / $83.9m) for the first nine months of the year. Sales for the period were 70.77 billion (£535.7m / ($868.8m), an increase of 41.6 per cent.
