COD5 demo on Live, DLC dated

Zombie asylum and friends next Thurs.

Activision and Treyarch have finally released a Call of Duty: World at War demo on Xbox Live and announced that the upcoming multiplayer map pack will be released on 19th March for PS3 and 360. That's next Thursday.

The demo, first of all, clocks in at 932MB and consists of the "Hard Landing" mission, which is playable in single-player and online co-op for up to four people. The official website bills it as an "exclusive" demo, so don't hold your breath, PS3 owners.

Meanwhile, the already-announced map pack consists of the Verruckt map set in a zombie asylum, as well as three normy maps - a railway station, one in Berlin and one in Peleliu. There's no word on how much it's going to cost yet, but we'll let you know. PC owners won't be getting it on 19th March, but are promised more details "soon".

In the meantime, if you're contemplating the demo, why not also read our Call of Duty: World at War review?
