Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood has now shipped 6.5 million copies around the world, Ubisoft has announced.
Coupled with 10.5 million shipped copies of various dance games - Just Dance 2, Just Dance, Michael Jackson: The Experience, Dance on Broadway and Just Dance Kids - and the Ubisoft smile was wider than ever: €600 million revenue for the three months ended 31st December 2010. That's 21.2 per cent higher than last year.
In the six months prior to that - April to September 2010 - Ubisoft had made €261 million.
Ubisoft also shipped two million games for Kinect and, wait for it, launched a CSI game on Facebook! Oh, and The Settlers Online in Germany.
"The videogame industry is an industry of opportunities," chirped Ubisoft head honcho Yves Guillemot.
"Creating new genres, innovating to attract new consumers and seizing the opportunities offered by new hardware lie at the heart of Ubisoft's development and growth.
"We have already proven this with the Wii and the DS, and we are further proving it with the recently-launched Kinect, which has met with outstanding success thanks to its revolutionary interface. Ubisoft has also made its mark as a creator of new game genres, with its two flagship brands, Assassin's Creed and Just Dance.
"The record performance achieved in third quarter 2010/11 as well as the fact that three of our games were among the best sellers over the crucial Christmas period is further evidence of the relevance of our strategy.
"Going forward, we intend to continue to innovate and pursue our refocus on key franchises in the high definition segment, while investing in upcoming opportunities in digital, in the casual segment and in future consoles, notably the 3DS and the NGP."
Ubisoft's looking to Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood on PC, Beyond Good & Evil HD on Xbox Live Arcade and six titles on 3DS (Combat of Giants, Asphalt, Rabbids, Rayman, Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon Shadow Wars) to make the money between now and the end of March 2010 (the fourth and last financial quarter).
Thanks to a better than ever performance, Ubisoft reckons its total take for the year will be €1 billion - 17 per cent higher than last year. Once all the various out-goings are taken out, Ubisoft expects a "positive" figure.
Ubisoft is the number three publisher in both the US and Europe.
