Destiny 2 Wayfinder's Voyage quest steps: How to complete the weekly seasonal quest

What's involved in the seasonal quest, up to Wayfinder's Voyage XXX.

Destiny 2's Wayfinder's Voyage is a questline running throughout Season of the Lost.

Similar to Path of the Splicer during Season of the Splicer, this introduces a long-term plan to the season's new activities and features, with each week tasking you with using the Wayfinder's Compass, collecting Parallax Trajectory, and more.

From the first step onwards, this quest grants access to the Astral Alignment seasonal activity, as well as an entry to the Shattered Realm.

This page explains how Wayfinder's Voyage works as well as every Wayfinder's Voyage quest step as they're released on a weekly basis throughout the season.

How does the Wayfinder's Voyage quest in Destiny 2 works

To start Wayfinder's Voyage, you must complete the Season of the Lost's introductory quest: Mission Cocoon. This will introduce you to Mara Sov and set the conflict to come throughout the season.

This isn't different to how it worked for Path of the Splicer. At least at a glance, that is, as the structure of the quest steps is different.

During Season of the Splicer, the main questline had eight steps total with several objectives each. But while completing Mission Cocoon grants you access to Wayfinder's Voyage I, it then becomes a separate questline with the same name.

Wayfinder's Voyage has a total of 53 steps, divided in bulk on a weekly basis. It's worth keeping this in mind as early as possible to avoid any confusions and make the most out of your time in Season of the Lost!

Destiny 2 Wayfinder's Voyage I quest steps

You will come across Wayfinder's Voyage I just by completing the introductory quest Mission Cocoon, so don't worry about missing it.

Wayfinder's Voyage I quest steps are as follows:

  • Speak to Petra Venj through the Wayfinder's Compass in the H.E.L.M.
  • Use the Wayfinder's Compass to realign the Blind Well with the Awoken Ley Line network (complete Offensive: Astral Alignment)
  • Return and speak to Petra Venj through the Wayfinder's Compass in the H.E.L.M. once more

When does the Wayfinder's Voyage quest expire?

Although Wayfinder's Voyage is the seasonal quest for Season of the Lost, you don't need to complete it in full before the season ends.

Provided you've started Wayfinder's Voyage while the quest was initially active, these steps - as well as all associated activities, including Astral Alignments and Shattered Realm missions - will remain in the game until the end of Season 15, or until the start of 'Year 5' when The Witch Queen expansion arrives.

This also applied to Season of the Splicer, which is why you're still seeing Mithrax's room of operations in the H.E.L.M. This is all part of Bungie's attempts to address FOMO (fear of missing out), allowing you to continue to play previous activities for longer, even if later seasons shift their focus to new ones.
