The Witcher 3 Ursine gear: How to get all Ursine armor and Ursine sword locations
How to complete the Ursine gear sets.
The Witcher 3 Ursine gear - or Bear gear - is the one focused on heavy armour. Rather than dodging or worrying about signs you simply wade into battle and soak up damage as you return it in huge doses.
If you like to play as a tank then this is the set for you, it's simple, but incredibly effective.

The Witcher 3 has a vast array of different armour sets to wear. While many of these can simply be found lying around the world, the most powerful items must be crafted using diagrams you can find out in the world.
The best armours are often the Witcher School gear, each of which has a quest line associated with it. While you can always follow the quests themselves, you can also just go and pick up the diagrams anyway.

Standard Ursine 'Bear' Gear, Sword and Armor locations
Ursine Steel Sword
Head southeast of Fyresdal is a Ruined Inn that houses some enemies. Go into the building and look around inside to find the chest containing the diagram.
To craft this, you need:
2 Leather Straps
2 Steel Ingots
1 Monster Essence
1 Monster Tongue
Ursine Silver Sword
To the east of Kaer Trolde and south of the Ancient Crypt is a set of ruins. You can find the diagram next to a skeleton after you've passed through the right-hand door there.
To craft this, you need:

1 Monster Brain
Ursine Crossbow
Head south of the Old Watchtower to find a small cave. Stick to the right-hand side and you'll be able to climb some ledges, simply jump across the gap ahead of you and you'll find a skeleton with the diagram on its person.
To craft this, you need:

1 Dark Iron Ore
1 Monster Bone
1 Resin
Ursine Armour
As you make your way through the Trail to Yngvar's Fang, you'll come across a ruined building around two thirds of the way. Head inside the door and drop down before going straight ahead and up some stairs. You'll come into a large room that has a chest containing the armour diagrams.
To craft these, you need:

Start at Kaer Almhult and head up the path to the main castle area. Fight your way through the pirates and then go up the stairs to the right of the entrance, follow that path and you'll find the chest containing this diagram.
To craft this, you need:

There are some ruins to the southwest of Giants Toes, make your way inside them and follow them to the end to find a chest containing the diagram.
To craft this, you need:

Enhanced Ursine Chest Armour
On the southeast coast of the main island in Skellige is a cave with a marker called Grotto. Go inside and stick to the right before turning left and then right into an open area. You'll find the chest in the centre of the area next to a large rock.
To craft this, you need:

1 Monster Hair
3 Hardened Leather
Enhanced Ursine Gauntlets
Head northeast of Rogne until you hit a small watchtower, the diagram is in a chest on the upper section.
To craft this, you need:

Enhanced Ursine Trousers
Cross the sea from Marlin Coast and go to the small island to the northeast. You'll come across a small cave that is guarded by a foglet, the diagram is within a chest inside the cave.
To craft this, you need:

Start at Arinbjorn and go southeast until you come across a cave around halfway between it and Kaer Muire. The chest is at the very back of the cave.

South of Downwarren lies a Ruined Tower. You'll find a broken wall you can go inside and you'll be able to see the chest you can grab the diagram from.

To the southwest of The Orphans of Crookback Bog is a small cave. Head insides and stick to the left-hand side and you'll come across the chest containing the diagram.

Head to Flovive in Toussaint. There is a ruined building that has a small ditch next to it, clear away the blockage using Aard and go inside to grab the diagrams from the chest to your right.
