Far Cry 5 - Dumpster Diving solution

How to find and complete Far Cry 5's Dumpster Diving treasure puzzle.

Far Cry 5 Dumpster Diving is a puzzle you have to solve within the Holland Valley region.

It's one of many Prepper Stash locations you'll find throughout the game, all giving you rewards once you solve and figure out how to access them.

Dumpster Diving solution

Location: Dodds Dumps

Rewards: $1,000, 3 x perk magazines

This Prepper Stash will require some careful platforming to collect and can be a little tricky if you're not careful. First, clear out any cultists at the front of the compound, as well as freeing the bound NPC near one of the trucks.

This compound is situated right near a road, so other cultists may end up joining the fight. When you're done taking them all out, look out for a rectangular temporary office.

Head inside the temporary office - situated at the front of the site - to find the stash note for this Prepper Stash.

Now you have two choices - you can either run around to the rear of the building to reach the locked stash door, or use the platforms to reach the middle of the compound.

To clear the platforming section, shoot the red barrel blocking the first platform with the blue chords, then use the middle pile of boxes to reach the platform in the far left-hand corner.

You can now use your grappling hook to reach the other end of the compound. When you reach it, you find yourself in an area with water all over the floor. The locked door will be around the corner.

To open the door, you'll need to flip the switch with the orange glow. However, doing so will electrify the water-covered floor making it near deadly to cross. To get back to the door you've now unlocked, use the boxes and the shelving nearby to cross the sparking water, then jump over to the platform with the blue cords.

Next you'll need to leap to the next platform, then take another big jump over the water to that large, now-open door (which should now be glowing green). Inside you'll find your booty and lots of extra ammo and items.
