Warner signs Unreal Engine 3 until 2014
For Batman, Mortal Kombat devs.Rocksteady Studios (Batman: Arkham City) and NetherRealm Studios (Mortal Kombat) will exclusively use Unreal Engine 3 until 2014.
That's because Warner Bros. and Epic Games have signed a glitzy new licensing deal that grants all Warner studios access to the award-winning engine.
Presumably that means the next Batman game following Arkham City will be based on a modified version of existing technology. Ditto Mortal Kombat.
