Warner Bros. has officially outed the LEGO Harry Potter game that an internal animator accidentally blew the trumpet on in March.

The game, dubbed LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4, covers the events of the first four books: The Philosopher's Stone, The Chamber of Secrets, The Prisoner of Azkaban and The Goblet of Fire.

LEGO clever clogs Traveller's Tales will develop and aims to release LEGO Potter next year.

The game will let us swap between each of the three main characters - Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley and Harry Potter - at least, and attend lessons, cast spells, mix potions, fly on broomsticks and earn points for school houses (presumably Gryffindor).

Action will take us to some of the most iconic locations of the famous books and films, such as Diagon Alley, the Forbidden Forest and the village of Hogsmeade.

The various press release quotes talk about an "open" and "wide-ranging" experience; one that's got "new elements of exploration and depth". But we're also promised plenty of the action and humour now synonymous with the LEGO games.

Head over to Eurogamer TV for the very first LEGO Potter video.

No platforms are mentioned, but the LEGO games are typically spread across as many as possible.
