Vol. 2 of SingStar PS3 unveiled

New harmony mode to feature.

Sony has revealed details of the second instalment in the SingStar PS3 series, which is logically titled Volume 2.

The big feature is a new harmony duet mode that allows two players to compliment each other's vocal skills. The disc will feature songs specially chosen for harmonising, such as California Dreamin' by the Mamas and the Papas and We All Stand Together by Paul McCartney and a load of frogs. Plus there's Celebration by Kool and the Gang.

SingStar Vol. 2 will also feature Remote Play support so you can access the game using your PSP and an Internet connection. For example you can browse, select and download songs from the SingStore so there's a tracklist ready when you get home. You can also use your PSP to muck about with My SingStar Online - leaving comments, viewing videos and so on.

In total there will be 30 songs on the disc, including tracks from The Killers, Eminem, Kaiser Chiefs and Gorillaz. It's not known at this point whether any of them will also be released in the SingStore, or whether Vol. 2 will launch with the long awaited wireless mics, or when it's out. But still. The frog song!
