THQ Nordic buys Delta Force, F-22 series and is open to revival ideas

Hands up who remember them.

Remember that old soldier game Delta Force? Tip-toeing around those hills trying to work out which pixels were scenery and which were enemies, then sniping from afar - or getting up close with your knife if you were skilled enough.

Remember F-22 Raptor? Those were days of flight simulations. Those joysticks! Or how about Commanche, the helicopter combat sim - remember that?

If you do remember those games, you'll remember Novalogic, the company that made them - and the massive boxes they came in. And if you remember Novalogic, news that THQ Nordic has bought its assets will mean something to you.

THQ Nordic now owns the following series:

  • Delta Force
  • Comanche
  • Joint Operations
  • Armored Fist
  • Tachyon: The Fringe
  • F-22
  • F-16

There are more, apparently, but they're not listed. The Novalogic trademark is THQ Nordic's now as well.

As for what THQ Nordic will do with Novalogic's series depends on the ideas developers pitch. THQ Nordic says it is open to approaches.

"We are extremely satisfied with the new additions to our portfolio, and also very thrilled about how to continue some of said franchises," said THQ Nordic bizdev director Reinhard Pollice. "We are open for talks in this regard if any developer approaches us with a concept for a potential sequel to any IP."
