SSFIV 3D Edition shifts one million

First 3DS game to reach milestone.

Capcom has shipped one million copies of Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition worldwide, making it the most successful Nintendo 3DS game so far.

The fighting game went on sale alongside the Nintendo 3DS in Japan, Europe and North America. "In capturing both new fans and longtime fans of the series, we were able to reach the one million unit mark for this title," Capcom said.

Over 31 million Street Fighter games have been shipped worldwide since the series debuted in arcades in 1987. 8/10 was the verdict from Eurogamer's Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition review.

"A great start for Capcom on 3DS, then," Johnny wrote, "and further proof there's life in the old quarter-circle yet."
