Splinter Cell Conviction delayed

Sneaks into 2008.

It's happy days for Ubisoft financially, but those of you looking forward to Splinter Cell: Conviction will be less than happy to hear it's snuck into 2008.

Despite PC and Xbox 360 versions having been pegged as "November" in Ubisoft's most recent release schedule (16th July), the publisher confirmed in its financial release yesterday that the Montreal-developed sneak-around is a fiscal fourth-quarter title - which means between January and the end of March 2008 in real terms.

Tom Clancy's EndWar is also down for release in spring.

None of this should effect the release dates for Haze (PS3, November), Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway (multiformat, November) and Assassin's Creed (multi, November), though, and with those games in store Ubisoft will be expecting similarly happy returns on its investments when financial reports are written up in six months' time.
