SEGA doing official Olympics game

Summer on PC, PS3 and 360.

SEGA has signed up to do the official Olympics 2008 game for PC, PS3 and 360.

Eurocom, of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End shame, will be making it, and it should be out alongside the real-life games this summer.

In total there are over 35 healthy pursuits to wince at, plus officially licensed stadiums and locations from in and around Beijing so it will look proper authentic like.

One of the biggest boasts is a control system that lets first-timers get to grips with things while allowing old-hands a chance at breaking world records, as well as competitive online athletics for those who want it.

Otherwise everything is as you would expect from an official Olympics outing, no surprises like darts or wild violence to worry about. It does have a rather long name, though.
