PS3 Child of Eden: why you have to wait

"No money hats!" says Q Entertainment.

Q Entertainment has explained why the PlayStation 3 version of Tetsuya Mizuguchi's enchanting Child of Eden is yet to release.

The Kinect-fuelled Xbox 360 version launched this month. Eurogamer's Child of Eden review waved a 9/10.

"No money hats," joked Q Entertainment producer James Mielke on the 8-4 Play podcast, listened by Giant Bomb. "We're doing everything in-house, we're not farming anything out.

"Now, we're working full-steam on the PS3 version. Despite the fact that the 360 was the lead SKU, the PS3 version is coming along very quickly."

Will the PS3 version support the Move controller and output in stereoscopic 3D?

"There's nothing I can really say about it," Mielke said, "except that it will definitely be worth the couple months that people have to wait for the PS3 version to get finished.

"People with PS3s, people with nice TVs, people with all kinds of control options... it's going to be really cool."

April reports suggested the PS3 version would launch in September. Move support was said to be "expected".
