Project Z is a new Dragon Ball action RPG

And it's all about Goku.

Bandai Namco has announced a new Dragon Ball game, this one an action RPG codenamed Project Z.

We don't know much about it, but we do know it's due out on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and it's built with the Unreal engine by Japanese developer CyberConnect2.

CyberConnect2 is perhaps best known for the Naruto Shippuden series of games for Bandai Namco.

The video below shows a lot of Dragon Ball FighterZ characters screaming at each other, as you'd expect, but there's also what looks like gameplay where we see Dragon Ball star Goku walking around some lush environments.

Speaking of Goku, this game revolves around telling his story, so perhaps Project Z is a retelling of the main Dragon Ball Z story for a new generation of fans.

Project Z is due out at some point in 2019, so hopefully we don't have long to wait to find out more.
