PlayStation Vita 1.65 firmware update details

UPDATE: Sony pulls update after finding "technical fault".

UPDATE: Sony has removed the PlayStation Vita firmware update from its servers due to it containing "a technical fault".

"For any customers who may have already downloaded the firmware, they can continue as normal," a statement on the EU PlayStation blog reads. "We will notify you once the latest system software update is available to download again."

ORIGINAL STORY: Sony has detailed a range of tweaks coming in the next PlayStation Vita firmware update, snappily named Version 1.65.

No major features or new apps are included. Instead, you'll get minor enhancements - such as the ability to toggle all notification alerts off.

An Arrow icon will now appear when PS Vita finds new activities in the LiveArea, explains a post on the PlayStation blog. "After 10 minutes" will be added to the time options under Power Save Settings and Caps Lock IS NOW INCLUDED ON THE ON-SCREEN KEYBOARD.

Sony said the update will be available today. It appears to be live for some users already.

Denizens of NeoGAF using the fresh firmware have spotted extra features: improvements to how often Near updates, a percentage bar when installing a game and the ability to background download when manually selecting sleep mode.
