Pinball FX dev reveals tower defense game CastleStorm
Coming this year to Xbox Live Arcade.
Pinball FX and Zen Pinball studio Zen Studios has announced downloadable tower defense title CastleStorm.
It's due for release later this year on Xbox Live Arcade and "other digital platforms".
You can play as a team of Vikings or Knights and toss arrows and other bizarre Worms-like weapons at the opposing side. The 2D side-scrolling gameplay even features projectile sheep, flung Angry Birds-style at your enemy's defenses.
CastleStorm mixes physics-based destruction with strategy and resource management: you'll need to carefully construct your castle to be impenetrable to your foe.
"CastleStorm is frantic tower defense warfare with tons of weapons, enemies and characters," Zen Studios spokesman Mel Kirk explained. "Fending off a barrage of Direwolves, Bear Riders and Hammer Throwers while destroying an enemy castle will make you laugh, think and adapt in order to survive!"
