Overwatch's newest map, Oasis, is now live

No word on Blur.

Blizzard wasn't kidding about an early 2017 release for Overwatch's next map, huh? We've been mucking around with Oasis on the Public Test Realm since late November, but it's now available on live servers for both PC and console players.

If you haven't seen it already, Oasis is a new control map based in the Arabian Desert, or more specifically, Iraq. It features a couple of new ideas including a jump pad and perhaps the most dangerous threat in all of Overwatch: traffic. Seriously, those cars will mess you up.

Blizzard has released a preview video to go alongside the launch. It's worth a watch for the soundtrack alone.

Overwatch was voted Eurogamer's Game of the Year for 2016 and everyone in the comments section was delighted by this.
