Overwatch gets Pink Mercy skin to raise money for breast cancer research

Charity event running until May 21st.

Blizzard has unveiled a new limited-time Pink Mercy skin for Overwatch, with all proceeds raised going to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

The skin will be available from today, May 8th, until Monday May 21st, and will cost £12.99 / $15 USD. 100% of the proceeds will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, with Blizzard promising to make a minimum donation of $250,000. The full amount will be revealed at the end of the money raising campaign.

Overwatch director Jeff Kaplan discusses the initiative in the video below.

A limited edition t-shirt is available to purchase alongside the Pink Mercy skin, plus there are special Twitch emotes, and Overwatch players can earn a number of event-themed sprays and icons by watching Blizzard's scheduled charity livestreams, which will run daily until May 21st.

Full details of the event, and more on the work done by the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, can be found on the Overwatch website.
