Oculus Rift comes with a wireless Xbox One controller

Stream Xbox One games to Oculus Rift via Windows 10.

Each Oculus Rift headset comes with a wireless Xbox One controller, Oculus has announced.

Oculus has partnered with Microsoft to enable Xbox One games such as Halo, Forza and Sunset Overdrive, to stream to Oculus Rift via Windows 10.

Xbox boss Phil Spencer took to the stage during Oculus' press conference to say the Rift will work natively with Windows 10 to make the virtual reality headset easy to set up. It will also benefit from using DirectX 12, Spencer said.

We already knew Microsoft planned to allow Xbox One users to stream their games to Windows 10. Now the capability has been extended to include Oculus Rift.

Spencer suggested at some point in the future Oculus Rift may enable an Xbox-themed virtual theatre, which sounds useful for those fighting over the use of one telly.

Oculus's pre-E3 press conference is ongoing. Watch along with us over at our live text report. More to follow.
