Nintendo lists unannounced Kirby Fighters 2 for Switch

UPDATE: On the eShop now.

UPDATE 24/9/20: Following yesterday's listing, Nintendo has now released Kirby Fighters 2 on the Switch eShop, priced £17.99.

Alongside local and online brawler battles, there's a campaign mode where you can play with a friend or AI ally.

17 copy abilities and characters are included, including the returning Meta Knight and King Dedede. Kirby Star Allies and Super Kirby Clash owners get a free in-game hat.

ORIGINAL STORY 23/9/20: Nintendo has never confirmed Kirby Fighters 2, but a listing for it has appeared on Nintendo's own website.

This listing has now been scrubbed offline, but not before the internet noticed (thanks Wario64, Siliconera).

The original Kirby Fighters - a last Kirby standing fighting spin-off - first appeared as part of 3DS compilation Kirby Triple Deluxe, before being re-released with extra bits and pieces as a separate 3DS eShop download.

Kirby Fighters 2 looks like it will also be a download-only title, with a $20 price point to match.

"Choose from a cast of Kirby's most iconic copy abilities - including the brand-new Wrestler ability - and duke it out to be the last Kirby standing," Nintendo's description reads.

"Familiar friends and foes like Bandana Waddle Dee and King Dedede also make an appearance as playable characters in the Kirby Fighters 2 game, available exclusively on the Nintendo Switch system."

We've asked Nintendo if it has any more details to share.
