EA confirms Fight Night Round 2 unlockables
As reported here (fnar), Super Punch-Out!! will be in the Cube version, and you'll also be able to play as Little Mac in Fight Night Round 2 itself.
EA and Nintendo have confirmed our report from earlier this month that they plan to beef up Fight Night Round 2 on GameCube by including an unlockable version of SNES classic Super Punch-Out!!
"We grew up as fans of the Punch-Out!! series that delivered hands-down, the best boxing gaming experience of its time," said Kudo Tsunoda, executive producer, EA Chicago.
In addition to the full version of Super Punch-Out!!, players will also be able to unlock Little Mac from that game for use in Fight Night Round 2 itself, giving us the chance to pit him against more than 30 real-world boxers.
EA and Nintendo have recently been souping up Cube versions of EA titles with Nintendo-specific inclusions, adding a Nintendo All-Stars team to NBA Street V3 and Cube/GBA connectivity to titles like The Urbz the The Sims Bustin' Out.
