MGS3 movie on the way

To Tokyo only, for time being.

Japanese Metal Gear Solid fans are in for an extra special treat next week, with the premiere of a three and a half hour-long movie based on the next instalment in the series.

The film is made up of in-game footage from Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence, and will feature new cutscenes, narrative sections and a remastered soundtrack. And what's more, Hideo Kojima himself will deliver an introduction to the movie at the premiere, which will take place in the Oribe Hall, Tokyo on December 22nd.

There are 80 pairs of tickets up for grabs via the competition website, but those who aren't lucky enough to win will still be able to watch the movie if they buy a copy of MGS3. Apparently the first batch of copies released will come with the film on a third disc.

So can we expect to see the MGS3 movie making it to Europe? Konami issued us with a firm "no comment", unfortunately, so we'll just have to wait and see...
