Peter Gabriel sings for Myst

"Worlds of sound."

Former Genesis frontchap Peter Gabriel will be lending his tune crafting talents to Ubisofts forthcoming Myst sequel, Uru: Ages Beyond Myst. He will allow the use of his song "Burn You Up, Burn You Down" for the title, and will pen an original track for the next game in the series.

Mr. Gabriel was rather enthusiastic about the whole affair: "When Myst came out I thought it succeeded well in creating a feeling of other worlds in which mystery and imagination were the compelling elements instead of the usual action packed 'shoot 'em ups'" Too true, Pete, too true. We know over two people that might agree with you. "I think there is some similarity with the way I try and create worlds of sound", he concluded.

For the sake of discussion in the office this morning, we mingled two topics: The CS: Condition Zero Steam release plans, and this. The topic was "What digital distribution service would Peter Gabriel favour?" We concluded that he would craft his own, and call it Sledgehammer.
