MS reveals E3 Xbox Live plans

Play demos! Watch trailers! Etc!

Good news for Xbox 360 owners who can't make it to LA this week - Microsoft is planning to bring a bit of E3 to you with all manner of exciting new Xbox Live content.

Word is that a playable demo of Capcom's Lost Planet will be available along with a high definition trailer for Gears of War, the eagerly anticipated third person action game from Epic.

Other games featured on Xbox Live this week will include MotoGP '06, Dead or Alive: Xtreme 2, next-gen Sonic the Hedgehog, Splinter Cell: Double Agent, Viva Pinata and Crackdown.

Our sister site, GamesIndustry.biz, has also learned that there will be a demo of SEGA's mech action title Chromehounds, plus a playable - and most likely multiplayer - demo of Atari's Test Drive Unlimited. Apparently you'll be able to cruise round no less than 40 miles of road on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. Hurrah!
