Tekken going on PS3 Store

Tweaked Dark Resurrection.

Namco Bandai is planning to release a downloadable version of Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection through the PlayStation 3's online store.

That's according to a report in Famitsu, partly translated by IGN, which states that it will be a tweaked version of the arcade Dark Resurrection, allowing you to play in resolutions up to 1080p and even control boss character Jinpachi.

The publisher has previously shown off concept images of Tekken 6, the first true PS3 title in the long running beat-'em-up series, but with details still fairly scant Namco's probably hoping this will tide people over.

Tekken: Dark Resurrection was also the basis of the celebrated PSP version of the game, which came out in Europe recently.
