Talk of Mana for PS2 escalates

Now Famitsu's saying it.

Japanese games mag Famitsu claims, albeit only in passing, that Seiken Densetsu 4 - the latest Mana RPG from Square Enix - is in fact a PlayStation 2 RPG as most of everybody has been speculating.

Originally unveiled alongside DS title Children of Mana, Seiken Densetsu 4 had been pegged as a current-gen console project, but little else was said - in spite of the World of Mana fanfare that preceded its announcement.

It's not quite a Square Enix confirmation, then, but it's yet another indicator - the game's already appeared in various US PlayStation-specific publications, IGN reports, and, as anybody who's seen the screenshots already knows, looks like it'd be very much at home on Sony's ageing platform.
