New LEGO Star Wars game

Complete Saga in November.

Activision is celebrating 30 years of Star Wars by releasing a new LEGO adventure.

The Complete Saga will feature action from all six films, and will be available on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and DS this November.

Traveller's Tales will be developing the games, which it claims will be the biggest and most expansive in the series. There'll be more than 160 characters to choose from, which will also be customisable, letting you swap torsos and heads to create your own hybrids. A Luke Amidala, or something. Isn't that some kind of incest?

New levels will be introduced, on top of revamped or unseen challenges from the previous games. And you'll be able to relish more Force Powers, use fresh power-ups, and tackle a new Challenge mode.

But the biggest addition will be two-player jump-in cooperative gameplay over the Internet on PS3 and Xbox 360 - the first time online's featured in the series. Wii and DS owners shouldn't despair, either, because Traveller's Tales is building unique versions for the Nintendo platforms from the ground up.

The first two games have sold more than seven million copies in the US alone, and received surprising critical applause - both earning an admirable 8/10 from Eurogamer. The tongue-in-cheek humour and fun gameplay make them hard to resist.

"LucasArts was an amazing partner on LEGO Star Wars II, and working with them on The Complete Saga continues to be a great experience," said Tom Stone, director at TT Games. "We're also thrilled to be focusing on next-generation consoles and creating content that plays to the strength of each system."
