E3: Morhaime: Starcraft II probably in 09

Plus: new Bond, Spidey in 2010, GH PSP.

Blizzard's Mike Morhaime has said that Starcraft II will be released this year as long as it "meets our standards and the expectations of our players".

Morhaime was speaking to investors and press in a pre-E3 Activision Blizzard conference call covering a range of topics.

Elsewhere, Activision's Mike Griffith said to expect new James Bond, Tony Hawk, Spider-Man, Transformers and Shrek games in 2010.

He also said that the publisher would continue taking new approaches with existing IP, including Call of Duty, which could even go into "related genres".

Elsewhere, the company said Guitar Hero will appear on PSP at some point in the future, and noted that Call of Duty: World at War sold 11 million copies in its first six months on sale.

Look out for a mountain of Activision previews tomorrow evening as the general embargo expires.
