SNK has let slip that it is showing Metal Slug 3 for Live Arcade at this year's Tokyo Game Show.

Last year at the event it issued a pamphlet suggesting a Metal Slug game was on the way for the service, but not until its leaked listings for 2007 appeared did we know which.

Metal Slug 3 is a run-and-gun side-scroller with tongue firmly lodged in cheek. It was ported from the arcade to the Xbox back in 2004, which we found to be a decent retro offering - partly because it had a German chap with a hilarious voice yelling "Rocket lowncher!" all the time.

SNK will also be showing Fatal Fury Special for Live Arcade, as well as King of Fighters '98 Ultimate Match, King of Fighters Maximum Impact Regulation A, and Samurai Showdown VI for PS2.

DS offerings look like the lovingly translated Throbbing Witch God Format and Your Hero, followed by plenty of other mobile and web games.

Prices and dates for the Live Arcade offerings are yet to be announced, with Microsoft unavailable for comment at the time of writing.
