An army man who worked as a consultant on the Metal Gear Solid series is in trouble for allegedly smuggling night vision scopes out of the US.
Tomoaki Iishiba was sending the scopes to Japan but forgot to get an export licence, according to the Associated Press. Whoops.
He's expected to plead guilty to conspiring to smuggle goods out of the US at his trial later this month.
Iishiba helped make Metal Gear Solid more authentic back in 1998, and has since gone on to endorse a line of knives.
