Huge Civ 5 patch released

This changes everything.

Sid Meier's Civilization 5 is due a massive update today, publisher 2K has announced.

A post on the game's official forums detailed all the myriad changes being made to the PC strategy title, with the main focus on fixing AI glitches, rebalancing units and adding in new national treasures.

The patch is timed nicely to get things ready for the new Double Civilization and Scenario DLC pack due tomorrow, which adds a new scenario and lets players rule the Spaniards as Isabella or the Incans as Pachacuti.

Civilization 5 marched onto the high street back in September. Eurogamer's Quintin Smith kneeled before it and humbly offered up a glowing 8/10.
