Guitar Hero II will boast "more online content than anyone has ever seen in a game to this date," associate producer Ted Lange has boasted, referring to the downloadable add-ons set to be offered after the game's release.

"We're still in the process of confirming the final details and continue to secure more licenses, though nothing has been announced at this time, we can definitely say nobody will be disappointed," Lange told IGN Australia.

He was also adamant that the Xbox 360 version of Guitar Hero II, due out at the start of April in the US, won't be the last we'll see of the series of next-gen. Which, er, we probably could have guessed, what with Neversoft having been signed up by Activision to develop further titles.

"Of course, next-gen opens up a lot of new things we can do, both with the visual and audio technology and advanced capabilities," Lange noted, rather predictably. "Just wait until you see what we have in store for the next Guitar Hero!"

Sadly he didn't go on to add when that might be.
