Grab loads of new first-party Switch games for just £36.99 from Currys

2021's big hits like Metroid Dread, Monster Hunter Rise and Bowser's Fury included

The dizzy deals of Black Friday and Cyber Monday may have come to an end but don't tell Nintendo, as you can still grab a pretty decent selection of first-party Switch games from Currys for just £36.99, and these include some of the biggest hits for the hybrid console this year.

For instance, the discounts include Metroid Dread, only released in October, the long-awaited sequel to the 2D series and a shoe-in for a number of Game of the Year lists. Heading back earlier this year is my personal game of the year Monster Hunter Rise which manages to excel to new heights from the breakthrough Monster Hunter: World. Sure, it'll also be coming to PC with enhanced features in the new year, but it's definitely worth picking up now at this price.

Other highlights include: The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, an excellent remaster of a game often underappreciated due to its originally divisive motion controls (which you can now ignore in favour of stick and button controls); New Pokémon Snap, the long overdue sequel to an N64 fan favourite; and Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, one of the most inventive Mario games, which was previously overlooked due to it being released on the Wii U.

There's plenty more first-party Switch titles also on sale for £36.99, as well as a few listed for clearance for a little less, and while that doesn't sound like a huge price drop for games a few years old, these are still good deals when you consider Nintendo rarely undersells its exclusives below the usual £50 RRP.
