Gone Home has sold 250K copies

Composer Chris Remo departs for Campo Santo.

The Fullbright Company's exploratory coming-of-age drama Gone Home has sold 250,000 copies.

Creative director Steve Gaynor announced the stat in an interview with Joystiq, where he noted that roughly 80 per cent of these sales emanated from Steam. We know 50,000 of them were in the first month alone, prior to the £14.99 / $19.99 game going on sale during various holiday promotions.

In related news, Gone Home's composer Chris Remo has left his staff position as Double Fine's community manager to join his Idle Thumbs podcasting pals at new studio Campo Santo, where he'll work among the lead devs from The Walking Dead and Mark of the Ninja. Remo previously served as a producer an community manager at Irrational Games where he worked on BioShock Infinite, was an editor at Gamasutra, and provided the music to other indie games like Thirty Flights of Loving and Gravity Bone.
