Five 2010 EA games sold over 5m units

Can you name them?

Five games Electronic Arts launched last year sold over five million copies.

They are: FIFA 11, Medal of Honor, Madden NFL 11, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit and Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

In its third quarter ended 31st December financial report, EA boasted that it was the number one publisher on high definition consoles (PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360) in Western markets.

During the third quarter it was the number one publisher in the Apple App Store for both iPhone and iPad, and the number one on Microsoft's recently launched Windows Phone 7.

And yet EA still conspired to report a gargantuan loss for the quarter: $322 million (£199.4m), compared to a loss of $82 million for the same period in 2009.

Total sales for the period were $1.053 billion (£652.1m), also down on the $1.243 billion in the previous third quarter.

Is EA still financially smarting from its 2009 acquisition of Playfish and its 2010 purchase of Chillingo?
