Fez has sold one million copies

"Thank you for putting up with the bulls***!"

Eurogamer's 2012 Game of the Year Fez has sold one million copies, developer Polytron has announced.

"We couldn't have done it without you!" Polytron noted on its official site.

"Thank you for buying the game," it added. "Thank you for telling your friends about it! Thank you for buying it again when it came out on PC!... Thank you for putting up with the bulls***!"

At one point Fez creator Phil Fish had announced a sequel to the beloved cult-classic, but then he changed his mind and decided he didn't want to work in the games industry anymore. Will this sway him back? I've posed the question to the man and will update if I hear more.

Fez arrived on Xbox 360, then was ported to PC, Mac and Linux. Polytron is still working with Sony to develop PS3, PS4 and Vita versions.
