Those of you hiding in the Live undergrowth will have noticed a new demo for Wild West shooter Call of Juarez.

It's free to download, available everywhere except Mexico and Asia, and weighs in at 709MB.

The full game came out on 360 at the end of June and earned a hearty shot of whisky slid down the bar by us. In it you play as two characters, the gun-toting zealot Reverend Ray, and the young, stealthy offender Billy Candle.

What followed was a great blend of six-shooter madness and panicked hiding and thievery, although purists of either genre might say each component lacked a little something.

Swagger in to our Call of Juarez saloon to find out more.
