Call of Duty: Modern Warfare open beta features crossplay between consoles and PC

You and everyone's army.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's open beta will feature crossplay between consoles and PC, Activision has confirmed.

However, the beta begins as a timed exclusive on PlayStation 4, per Sony's deal with Activision for the shooter.

Early access to the beta runs 12-13th September on PS4. The open beta then launches on PS4 14-16th September.

The beta then expands to other platforms. Early access for PC and Xbox One runs 19-20th September (the game is in open beta on PS4 during this time).

Then the open beta featuring crossplay runs 21-23rd September across PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare launches proper on PC, PS4 and Xbox One 25th October 2019. We got a chance to go hands-on with the multiplayer portion of the game at a recent event in Los Angeles. (Check out our Call of Duty: Modern Warfare preview for more.) Activision hasn't said what exactly will be featured in the beta, but at the event Infinity Ward teased it'll go further than the content available during the hands-on.
