Broken Sword 2 Remastered out now

Costs four quid from the App Store.

Broken Sword II: The Smoking Mirror – Remastered is out now on the App Store.

It costs £3.99 / €5.49 from the App Store on iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.

Revolution Software's cult 1997 point and click adventure game is brought up to date with a new interactive digital comic from Watchmen co-creator Dave Gibbons, fully animated facial expressions, improved background and animation graphics, improved cut scenes, high quality music, and a context-sensitive hint system and diary.

Dropbox integration allows cloud saving so gamers can play the same adventure across multiple devices. Game Centre integration allows in-game achievements.

"The App Store has created tremendous opportunities for our company as well as the Broken Sword franchise," managing director Charles Cecil said.

"It has given us the freedom and confidence to push the envelope when it comes to creativity and deliver the most compelling gameplay experience to our fans. This is an extraordinary time for the games industry and for independent developers in particular."

A PC and Mac version is due early next year.
