Borderlands' level increase is free

Separated from Claptrap DLC.

The Borderlands level-cap raise - a feature of the Claptrap's New Robot Revolution DLC - will now arrive as a free update for all game owners.

The new maximum level attainable in Borderlands will be 69, according to Joystiq. The patch will rebalance the original campaign to take into account these extra eight levels.

Add-on Claptrap's New Robot Revolution will be on 28th September, a 2K rep told Eurogamer this morning. When the Game of the Year Edition launches here, however, we still don't know.

Claptrap will cost 800 Microsoft Points or £6.29, and offer a story about a Claptrap revolution filled with missions, enemies and boss battles.

The Game of the Year Edition contains all Borderlands DLC released so far.
