BioShock PS3 demo in early October

Little Sisters are doing it for themselves.

2K Games will be offering a PS3 demo of BioShock on 2nd October around the world.

That allows 22 days to decide whether to buy the full game on 24th October, which also happens to be my birthday.

Not that there should be too much to think about. BioShock remains a remarkable atmospheric achievement, and the acclaimed gameplay has been reproduced faithfully on PS3, according to Tom's recent hands-on preview.

Plus there are extras: an additional super-tricky difficulty level, downloadable Challenge Rooms, Trophy support and a, er, ten-minute installation sequence.

Head over to our Xbox 360 review of BioShock for our thoughts on one of the best games of 2007.
