Apex Legends soft launches on mobile later this year

Pinged you.

Ever since launch, Respawn has been open about its plans to bring Apex Legends to Switch and mobile - and while we recently learned the game will appear on Switch this autumn, it seems like a mobile soft launch is also on the cards for 2020.

As detailed by EA CEO Andrew Wilson in a recent call with investors, Apex Legends will have a soft launch on mobile "by the end of this year". EA previously detailed plans for an Apex Legends mobile launch in an earnings call last year, but this is the first we've heard of a release window.

Crossplay for Apex Legends was also (finally) announced during EA Play Live last week, although it remains to be seen whether this will be input-based, or if mobile players will be included.
