December PES 2012 patch notes

Better goalies and search! Bugs fixed!

Konami has detailed an "upcoming" patch for PES 2012.

Goalkeepers have been improved and are now better at stopping balls from long shots.

You can search for opponents based on pass support settings, which will replace Friendly Match or Player Match (depending on version) in Quick Match mode.

The Speed Star skill card has been tweaked to improve realism.

There's a wee list of bugs that have been fixed below. Konami has also solved some game-freezing and hanging problems in the Online and Become a Legend modes, as well as while selecting Game Plan combinations.

Bugs fixed:

  • Issues with one or more players given a red card in a match, but 11 players available after loading formation
  • In the myPES application, we have corrected the situation where a draw result is given after win/lose on the penalties
  • Occasionally meaningless numbers were appearing when accessing the Community menu from the Community Card list
  • Formation data in the Formation settings on the Game Plan screen can only be saved from the P1 controller
  • Game data can be saved/loaded for both sides if you exit the Data Management menu while your opponent is saving/loading the game data and then enter the Data Management menu again on the Game Plan screen

After this, Konami sets to work on the Winter Transfer Window update.

PES 2012 was the start of a promising return to form for Konami's once critically dominant football series. Eurogamer's PES 2012 review awarded 8/10.

They've been promising to fix the goalies since the first demo.

    @Feanor

Thats because eagle eyed players have realized how goalies are perfect in real life and never make mistakes. At all.

If goalkeepers (which are fine imo) are really ruining the game for some, then maybe they should manually ctrl them instead of whinging.

PES is a complete lost cause, its already in the bargain bin just weeks after realease, sad really, but Konami gave been lazy with PES this gen and for that they deserve what they get! Really hope Konami have a rethink before they hurl another steaming turd at us in the form of PES 2013

freedumb, keepers in PES are not "realistic", they are "buggy".

If they were realistic, then there should have been some making nearly no mistakes at all (Casillas), there should have been keepers making mistakes only when the ball is crossed in their area (Cech, De Gea) or keepers letting the ball often slip through their hands (Reina).

There is no such thing. Every keeper makes identical mistakes, regardless of his stats. This is not intended, this is a bug. Not to mention that the frequency of goalie fails is unheard of in top football teams.

P.S. There are also bugs in Fifa goalkeepers, but I don't call them "realistic" and "intended"... I know they are just bugs.

This pro evo is the best one ever and a massive improvement on the last 4. I am a pro evo fan not Fifa, but have been playing Fifa for 3 years it was a better game than pro evo over that time only, but pro evo 12 is better than Fifa 12 in regards to gameplay. Pro evo 12 is hard! to hard but that's what makes it so realistic, im proud to say for the first time in 5 years what us pes fan boys always used to say.. Fifa looks better (licences...) but game play wise for me its pro evo 12. I traded in Fifa 12 for pro evo and i don't regret it. This game is a 9/10 easy, i read reviews that its high scoring pinball football, that is utter crap its old school pro evo where you can win 4 on the bounce then lose 5 on the bounce. i haven't seen any games on top player level that have ended up high scores, this game is hard!! and the rest of the pro evo fan boys-girls, know exactly what im on about that feeling of utter euphoria when you score that well taken goal that resulted from jaw dropping teamwork..superb!!. one of the main reasons why Fifa has again out sold is because of all the little kids wanting it because Rooney or whatever is advertising it and its got all the licences. The patch to improve goalkeepers is great and apparently that was one of the reasons the game got an 8/10 so re review it and give it a 9.

    1 league season finished 15th
    2. league season finished 13
    3rd league season finished 5
    4th league season ..currently 4th

played as man utd in the champions league semi against chelsea (top player level) i was up 2.0 80 mins on clock, the game AI changed to all out attack i responded to play counter attack 85mins chelsea scored 2-1 i couldnt get the ball the AI was pounding me drogba kept shooting outside the box hit the post 3 times...then bang! 89mins 2-2 pissed me right off!. 3mins injury time..i got a corner played it short to young ran at defender dummied the cross his leg came out caught me penalty! on 92mins!!! upstepped rooney scored 3-2 won it.

the above is an example of sheer excitment tension that is pro evo 12!! just like the pro evo used to be back in the day.

Fifa 12 is awesome! pro evo 12 is awesome u choose but as a pro evo fan boy ive come home and it feels greeeeaaattt!!

Merry christmas and a happy peaceful new year to u all god bless us all and peace and happiness to every single one of us.
