Yakuza Kiwami 2 launches in August

Dragon us back again.

Yakuza Kiwami 2, a full remake of the original Yakuza 2, will launch for PlayStation 4 on 28th August outside Japan.

(That date is confirmed for North America - we'll likely see it the following Friday, 31st August.)

This re-creation of the original comes courtesy of Yakuza 6's Dragon engine - with the shinier graphics you would expect.

There's a few other changes, too - not least a new campaign featuring Majima, Mad Dog of Shimano, set between Yakuza 1 and 2. New minigames include Yakuza 0's Cabaret, something called Golf Bingo, plus the original arcade release of Virtual-On.

Yakuza Kiwami 2's launch comes exactly a year after the first Yakuza Kiwami arrived in the West. Presumably Japan will be getting a third soon enough?
